James Bulem

James is an entrepreneur, media practitioner and public servant, with a B.A. Ed. in English and Education from Lagos State University. His background is in broadcast media, entertainment and cultural storytelling.

He serves as a Commission Member and Head of Planning, Research and Statistics at the Cross River State Carnival Commission, following his contributions to the state’s Tourism Cluster. He is committed to building sustainable institutions that deliver value to his community, the state and humanity.

As CEO of The Grandmother Place, a restaurant and bar chain in Cross River State, James leads a hospitality business, combining private-sector experience with public service to create jobs and promote Cross River’s culture and tourism. He is married with two children.
